Combining display of laptop and PC

Hey everyone,

Quick question, to which I'd really appreciate any answers or thought you can give.

I have a laptop and a PC, both running Linux. And I was wondering if it would be possible to use any Linux software to have it so that I could drag windows between the laptop and the PC. This would preferably be done through their connection to the local network. The idea would be to have it so that the PC is the main computer, on whose hard-drive the system is actually stored, but when the laptop is powered on, it connects to the PC- and I could then drag windows across onto the laptop, and preferable use my PC's mouse and keyboard on what is displayed on its screen.

I hope what I'd like is clear. Not sure if it is possible- but if it is I wonder what software I could use to achieve this.

Thanks for any help

Matt
