Changing the GTK File Chooser

Simple question so I'll make it short. You know that GTK file chooser widget with the "Browse for other folders" dropdown used by everything from Firefox to SWT? I really really don't like the look and feel of it. I don't suppose there's something I can put in my .gtkrc or something so as to change it to a different style of file chooser, is there? I'm quite happy with the QT and KDE file choosers, for instance, so if I could get anything that looks like that, I'd be simply thrilled. Any luck?

Thanks for reading!

If you use firefox 2.0 above then it is possible:

type about:config in URL in firefox:
type this string "ui.allow_platform_file_picker"
make it -> false

I'm not using Firefox 2 yet but I'll keep that in mind for the future. No generalized way to do it, though, right? 'cause your post would work for Firefox but not for Azureus and so forth.
