changing keyboard shortcuts for switching tabs in gnome-terminal and/or tilda
Hi,
I am used to switching tabs using ctrl-tab and ctrl-shift-tab (or shift-arrow keys). gnome-terminal uses ctrl-pageup and ctrl-pagedown to switch between tabs. Is there any way I could change this setting to what I like? Thanks, Saby |
Sorry, just got this fixed:
open gconf-editor, go to apps/gnome-terminal/keybindings , change value for next_tab and prev_tab hopefully this would help someone :) |
Care to enlighten us on how you changed it?
Did you manage to make it accept ctrl-tab, or did you give up and make it something else? |
I changed it to shift-arrow by changing the strings to <Shift>Right and <Shift>Left . I just tried changing them to <Ctrl>Tab (or <Ctrl><Tab>) but it doesn't work :(

I marked this thread as unsolved since I could not find a solution for tilda, and Ctrl-Tab is not working for gnome-terminal
