Changing KDE single-click interface?

Linux newb here, wondering how I can change the KDE interface from single-click to double-click? I am running KDE 3.5.5 "release 45".

Thanks!

You don't tell us your distro, but for kubuntu: K-> System settings-> Mouse-> General . Select "Double-click to open files & folders". Done.

Oops sorry- it's openSUSE 10.2. Things look quite a bit different than my friends computer (who runs Kubuntu)

I am not used to Suse, so cannot lead you to exactly the right menu, so you'll have to go exploring round your system to find the right bit. Trust me, it'll be in there somewhere.

Whilst you are exploring, you'll probably find lots of things you didn't know existed - options for this and that and more. Tread carefully (it's like an old-fashioned "adventure" game), and try to change only one thing at a time. Then check the effects. It's fun, and KDE is so customisable, that you won't recognise it from the default, basic install when you have tweaked it to your satisfaction. It is very different from windows: Fluid, flexible, and doesn't fall over and die.

But the problem with all this customisation (between distros and user-installed / configured extras) means that people like myself cannot say "Just click this, that then the other", because your distro, and, more importantly, yourself, may have set things up differently, for better, or worse.

You are running Suse, I & your friend are running kubuntu. The menus will be different, but the functionality will (or should) be there. You just have to find it.
