cant login as my user, only as root

heya!

i was logged on as my user and i tested to change style in the system settings. they all worked fine until i changed to a style called "GTK+"... then kde crashed and i couldnt restarted with my user, only as root.

so question is: how can i, as root, change the style a user has in kde? alternatively erase the kde settings of my user (hopefully just the style one, but more is ok).

i use slackware 13 and kde 4.2.4

thanks in advance...

The KDE config files should be in the users home directory. /home/<username>/.kde/

In therory you can delete the .kde directory and all should be find. Only down side is all of your KDE settings for that user are gone.

Alternatively you may want to look at the startupconfig file too.

/home/<username/.kde/share/configs/startupconfig

There might be something there that can help you. Also take a look at the gtkrc file in that directory if you dont want to delete everything.
