Can we open wdm in background ?


I just would like to run wdm at startup, and that no X is called and that user can alt ctrl f7 press to get in appear (hence to run in background at startup)
Thanks for any info

I think it is not possible as you say (i.e. X will be running), but you can add in some script a command to wait a bit (to let X get started) and then run 'chvt'.

Looks to be a nice trick, but I dont understand yet exactly how it works ...
