I've now figured out that what i really want to do is change the colour of the title bar in all windows. Can i do this without downloading a different coloured theme? As i can't seem to find a suitable one.

Hello and welcome to LQ. I've changed the font colour back to normal because pink/magenta is a bit difficult for some people to see. As for what you want to do, I don't think its possible without changing themes or hacking the current one that you are using. If you were using KDE, you would just tinker with the colour schemes, but unfortunately GNOME is not as configurable as KDE.

mish_the_pink, I explained to you why I changed your font colour and you have gone and undone the changes I made. I am changing the font colour back to normal so that others can read your post and help you out. If you insist on undoing the changes I make, then unfortunately you may find your privileges to post on this site restricted. Cheers.

Ubuntu uses GNOME by default, so take a look at gnome-look for more metacity themes and you may find something that suites your needs.
