Can't pause/resume printing (cups+Debian)
Using Debian Etch 4.0 r0, I could pause and then reinitiate printing by simply pressing the printer's "pause" button.
After I upgraded to Etch 4.0 r3, I find I can no longer pause printing and then resume it. If I pause the printer, the print job cannot continue. I using cups 1.2.7-4. The printer is an Epson LQ 570+ The cups error log /var/log/cups/error_log says "Unable to send print file to printer: Input/Output Error." Pause/resume of printing also used to work for me when I printed from Windows, accessing the same printer via Samba. Now this doesn't work either. I have looked over the cups config file, and the printers config file, and can't find anything that might affect this. I have even tried downgrading all the cups packages to the Etch 4.0 r0 versions, and that didn't restore the ability to pause printing either. Is this a spooling failure? Any ideas? |
