Hi all,

first how do I get a start menu in the dock (like the round ubuntu menu) I see everyone has all kinds of cool things like clocks and stuff.

also how do I get effects I gone into the settings and lots of my settings are not there its like its half there. It wont let me select any options and I also installed Compiz as well even that seems to be missing parts

I have also attacted my screen too

before I load Ubuntu on a new computer I need to have a smooth running of things first

thanks
