Bring up a running program in another virtual desktop VNC

I am running vncserver so I can remote into my PC at home. I have a torrent client running on my PC called azureus and I leave it running to seed. When I log in from work I want to be able to see my client from vnc. I have vncserver running, but it is a new virtual desktop so I don't see any of my programs that are currently running.

Is there a way to transfer programs GUIs between different virtual desktops so I don't have to close the program and open it back up?

Look into x11vnc - it turns your existing X session into a vnc session running on yourhost:0. You need to run it from a terminal in your home PC's X session, then connect to it using a standard vnc viewer.

Make note of the -usepw and -forever options as they make it secure and last more than one log in.

Hope this helps.
