Brightside quiet mode

I've just installed Brightside, so that I can (among other things) disable xscreensaver by leaving the mouse pointer in a corner of my Xfce desktop. Whenever it activates, Brightside briefly displays a notification in the middle of the screen, with an icon and a short progress bar.

The prblem is, when I use it to disable the screensaver, the same notification gets repeated every few seconds. Now I know that xscreensaver needs to be regularly told not to activate, but I don't need to be reminded every time.

How can I turn off the notification?

Never mind.

The next day I noticed Brightside was working as intended for my wife, so next time I logged on I tried again and the problem was solved. I'm not sure what was going on originally (mouse jumping, maybe) but that's the easiest fix I've had for a while.
