Zen packages - more options than you would think...
 

I would like to point out that Zenwalk is very Slackware based. This means that if you want a package that is not on the Zen repository you can just grab a slackbuild script, or just install a slackware binary package. I guarantee, there are more slackbuild scripts for different types of software than any distribution has in it's repository... Such is the slack way...

Ah yes, which distro is best??

Ditto the comments that the choice of XFCE has nothing to do with with which distro to choose---except that life may be somewhat easier if the distro does not automatically install KDE or Gnome.

For OP: If you can't install Arch, why not tell us what the problem was?

For another poster: If OP can't install Arch, why would you recommend Slackware?

I think there is a difference between the basically unanswerable "which distro is best?"* and "which is the best Xfce distro?", and the question is not invalid, because some distros are developed specifically for Xfce, adding enhancements and filling the gaps that exist in Xfce (gui/file manager for browsing network shares in Zenwalk or modifying the exit dialogue to include suspend, hibernate and user switching in Xubuntu for example). Of course you can (broadly speaking) make what you like from any distro but certainly convenience and desired result are factors in choosing a distro. Xfce in Debian, which I use, is certainly a slightly different environment than Xfce in Zenwalk. It's also worth considering the availability of extra packages because a few things are actually challenging to compile from source. A lot of people would consider xfmedia, the default Xfce multimedia player, to be less than ideal currently. Installing VLC from source is not fun so it's nice if it's available as a binary or build script from the distro repos.

Also it's worth considering that not every distro actually supports Xfce, and that some who do support it offer versions of Xfce which are incomplete so these are also factors that differentiate the questions.
