ati 3d almost there... who's got the answer?

Hey there, the new work desktop is set, they gave me a tiny dell 2 22' widescreen's (sweet), and the only good sff card that fit's this tiny box I had to take, an ATI Radeon X1300. The monitors are set with the duel DVI, the ATI kernel mod is set and I do have the duel monitors working and looking good, but no beryl/desktop effects.

So,what do I need to provide to help out, the only thing I can think of giving is the beryl-xgl output shown below;

**************************************************************
* Beryl system compatiblity check *
**************************************************************

Detected xserver : AIGLX

Checking Display :0.0 ...

Checking for XComposite extension : passed (v0.3)
Checking for XDamage extension : passed
Checking for RandR extension : passed
Checking for XSync extension : passed

Checking Screen 0 ...

Checking for GLX_SGIX_fbconfig : passed
Checking for GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap : passed
Checking for non power of two texture support : passed
Checking maximum texture size : failed

Root window size (3360/1050) is bigger then maximum texture size (2048x2048)

X Error of failed request: GLXBadContext
Major opcode of failed request: 144 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 4 (X_GLXDestroyContext)
Serial number of failed request: 31
Current serial number in output stream: 33

It seems as the error shows, about the window size, now is this something that can be worked around by installing 1st on a smaller res, and updating, or something?

Anyone who's got .02, throw it in! Thanks.

Try using a smaller desktop resolution (smaller than 2048x2048).

As what a 'test'? I have 2 22' wide screen monitors which produce a 3800 or so width, switching to something smaller would kill the res.

I did read something a while back that you can split the 2 screens so rather that fedora looking at it as 1 huge screen, it looks at it as 2 separate (at 1900) and joins them so it's an illusion of 3800.

Thanks
