Arch 5.10.81 Plasma 5.23.3 Pacman error KDE-APPLICATIONS

I have a new ArchLinux install with KDE Plasma 5. no problems booting or logging into the desktop.

But when I try to run the following:
pacman -S kde-applications
or
pacman -S kde-applications-meta

I get an error
"kimageannotator-0.5.2-1........failed to download"

I suspect the above application is no longer available. Is that what the error means?

What would you do to get past the error OR would you load applications one at a time within Plasma?

Thanks for your comments.

You haven't given much info. Are you up to date? Not partially updated?

I'm 2 months out of date and that's the version I get in my pacmans database.
Code:
pacman -Ss kimageannotator
extra/kimageannotator 0.5.2-1
    Tool for annotating images
Could be it's no longer on the mirror. Lets see.

Bring your machine up to date with pacman -Syu

My archlinux and plasma installs were done last week (versions in the msg title), wiping out a Vista install.

I'll run the pacman update and see what happens.

Thanks for your reply.

teckk: It looks like the pacman -Syu update did the trick.

Previously pacman was looking for kimageannotator-0.5.2 and it seems based on the link you provided the current version is 0.5.3.

I should have realized that an update might resolve this. However, since my install was brand new I had not expected that.

I did have to figure out how to boot to a shell prompt rather than into plasma by modifying the grub boot menu. Actually, I would prefer that it always boots to a command line rather than into Plasma.

Thanks for helping a noob.
