Application Window Tabs do not appear on taskbar

I use GNOME on Fedora 5.

When i open an application say mozilla or OpenOffice writer i do not get the tabs of these applications on the task bar.

Therefore, i have to switch between applications using Window-->Name of the application.

How do i get the tabs back to the taskbar??
