anyone know how to set up eterm window transparency on blackbox?

attempting to set up Eterm window semi-transparency on blackbox. the effect i am going for is a jpg on the root window and all Eterm windows i open after that will have an opaque style "transparency", (shaded viewport).

right now i can get a clear viewport background, but transparency turns the window solid gray. status shows 0% transparency. i seem to remember the use of the Esetroot command in slack 8, but i know quite a bit has changed with slack 11.

Eterm 0.9.4
bbkey root command - bsetbg -full .../my_background.jpg

anyone skilled in this?

You should learn how to use to search for things. It took me about 5 seconds to find these:
