amarok permision problem

I am using arch for the first time running kde and xfce (pain in ass...but worth it). Can anyone help me with a silly little problem of mine. How can i allow amarok the access rights to my ipod or remove the root only access rights.

If you have an entry in your fstab, you should have it user writable like
Code:
/dev/sdb /mnt/mp3 vfat noauto,user,rw 0 0
That should enable you to use it with amarok. Also, you'll probably have to mount it before you can use it with amarok. Just mount then use the connect button in amarok.

thanks for the help but...

thanks for the help but i have already allowed read+write in fstab and it mounts correctly, amarok is not allowed to access it without being root. Which is my problem, how to i allow amarok to access the mountpoint without being root.

Who has ownership of amarok on your system?
