Adjusting the digital clock appearance in kde
 

Hello. My kde desktop shamelessly looks very similar to gnome shell.
In the panel, i have adjusted my digital clock settings so the 'date format' is set to 'Long date'.
This shows the digital clock in this order;
Currently as i type this, like below.
(Yes i know that it's wrong)

I would like the time to display after the year instead, like below:
Is this possible like in Xfce, and if so, how?

... Come on, are you serious? that's not a helpful answer, and not true..

@Knightron: You can modify the formats in System Settings->Locale->Country/Region & Language Settings->Date & Time. By clicking the wrench iconed button as well beside the "Date Format" selection, you could access it as well.

Thanks for your detailed instructions konsolebox. Unfortunately i've already been in that area of settings; but i am still unsure on how to change the appearance so the time is displayed after the year, opposed to before the day of the week, in the Long date format.

I'm not sure that you can do what you want in KDE. In Gnome I have "18:40 Friday 31 August" and in Xfce "18:40 Fri 31/8" over 3 lines, but I've never discovered how to do that sort of thing in KDE. Searching their website and forum doesn't help.

It's like setting keyboard shortcuts to launch applications. This, of course, is done via the menu editor, but if you search the help that just takes you to the keyboard shortcuts configuration tool, which is for a different type of shortcut.

I think I'm just a KDE-phobe!

All the basic modifications are there.
The other option is to look for the many clocks in widgets.
