Accessing a Linux TV Box

Folks,

I have a Linux based TV tuner incorporating a hard drive recorder. It is a networked device and as well as playback onto connected TV I can download the recorded TS files using wget.

A port scan only shows port 80 which lists the currently recorded programs.

Has anyone got any suggestions how I might get into the OS for admin purposes?

You could trying searching the web with the make/model of your device to see if someone has figured it out already.

Not a very popular make and adapted for a company that has gone skint so difficult to know what to search under.

Works quite well though, used to be able to set TV programs to record via internet so somehow it is able to accept commands.
