Smile A very simple question of a newbie who can't figure it out.


How do I change my Desktop Wallpaper or background? I tried saving an image and right clicked it but nothing. I want to change my wallpaper with an image.. Please help... Thanks..

Hello,

Ok. Can you tell us what linux distribution you are using? Also, have you tried looking in your distro's settings? I'm sorry, but if you are having trouble figuring that out, you shouldn't be using linux.

There is no Mandriva 10.2 . An earlier version was Mandrake 10.2 .


Is it 'Mandriva 2010.2' ?

This is from Mandriva 2011 , KDE 4 :

1. Right click the Desktop, select 'Activities'. A "Menu" appears.

2. Click the button 'Create Activity' : Select 'Empty Desktop'.

4. Right click the Desktop, select 'Activities'. The "Menu" disappears.

5. Right click the Desktop, select 'Desktop Settings' :
And now you can change background, or select "Open" for your image.

Hey guys... Thanks for the hint.. I right clicked on desktop, selected "Folder View Activity Settings" and there I found Wallpaper... I changed it browsing from my images folder... Now I am enjoying my desktop wallpaper... Thanks guys!!!
