Hey everybody. I've been out of the loop for quite some time now, and, armed with my first 64-bit PC (I'm a bit behind), I'd like to jump back into things here. Are there any precautions or considerations I should take regarding a 64-bit system? I've had several x86 boxes, so I'm a little apprehensive. I checked the stickies and didn't see anything, so I figured I'd just ask.
some third party applications can have problems on 64bit, but that's the minority of all the things you are going to do on the long run. (less than 5% in most scenarios)
Keep in mind that you have to install the multilib packages if you want to use 32 bit software, like Skype or Wine (assuming that you still use Slackware).
