[solved] How do I get KDE to only show windows from current desktop in menu bar?

Hi there

I have been using KDE 3.5 for years and have after a recent HDD change upgraded to KDE 4.7.

Now whilst the new KDE is ok, I really can't fathom out how to get it to only show the windows from the current desktop in the menu bar? It used to be so easy to set up and do in 3.5 but I have been trying to find an answer for days now with no luck at all.

I can't be the only one who wants this feature, as I use one desktop for coding another for browsing and other bits. and the menu bar doesn't half get cluttered and clicking the wrong one swaps screens which drives me mad!

anyway sorry to waffle, any help is much appreciated

Yours
Mike

Right-click on the Task Manager, select 'Task Manager Settings', tick the box that says 'Only show tasks from the current desktop'

Perfect, I knew it must be simple but could I work it out! And after trawling through endless pages on google i'd all but given up!

Thanks ever so much!

Mike
