[Fedora 8, Gnome 2.20.3] Applications take a long time to start
Hi Linuxer!
If I start Gnome-Applications like Claws-Mail or simply the gnome-terminal, it takes a long time to start them. After I searched a bit on the internet, I got some result about deletion of the ~/.ICEauthority file. So I did that. Applications are starting up much faster now, but I can't get into the Configure Sessions dialog (System -> Preferences -> Personal -> Sessions) anymore and I get this error message, if I start gnome-terminal in a gnome-terminal: "(gnome-terminal:2961): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed." Does anybody know, what the problem is and how I fix it? If you need some more information about my system, just ask. Thanks a lot in advance. Have fun, bitmaster87 |
