weather on desktop


how to enlist a location? outside of China

I think that would depend on exactly what script or program you are using to put the weather on you desktop.

Could you provide more information?

You can do it with Conky, but I haven't, not yet (I've been playing with Conky this week and plan to try, but I'm not there yet). Here's a link.

all I did was call

there's dropdown of China provinces and corresponding cities at counties.
thought it would be nice to be able to write a query for the location I'm currently in. although I'm actually not sure whether it's working at all

switched it back off for now) that helps besides I'm not that reliant on weather station predictions)
