Unable to hide last user

I am trying to modify the behavior of the Deepin Greeter. I know that deepin linux is using lightdm, however I also know it is a customized version.

I would like to hide the last user login. As of now, the only user I am able to login as is the default user created during installation. The file /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf has what seems to be all options for the greeter configuration, but modifying them seems to be ignored.

The settings in question are:

greeter-show-manual-login=true
greeter-hide-users=true

I have tried adding same to both the following, but again no joy.
/usr/share/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/60-deepin.conf
/usr/share/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/01_debian.conf

Anyone have any idea what I am missing? I REALLY want to use Deepin but this is a non-starter for me.

Bump

Really?! Not one person responds? Pretty big security hole not allowing you to hide the username on login screen. All you can do for login on Deepin is click the silly picture?!

I have already tried all of that. That's actually my reason for the post in the first place...all changes to the config file are ignored
