Very impressed trying Deepin, but was annoyed by windows keeping on maximizing when moved on top. I installed compiz settings manager hoping to get rid of this feature and instead I got rid of deepin desktop!! Now I just have a black screen, even logging as guest, even removing compiz manager (and I even didn't use it to change anything!).
Please help, how can I fix this without complete re-install of Deepin. Is there a way to get back the original DE?
what was your original DE? your should search on how to install that through shell
Thanks for reply but still no way to get back my original Deepin DE. Through shell (ctrl+alt F2) I tried to sudo apt-get install deepin-desktop, tried to remove .Xauthority, created another user, removed compiz.... every time I do anything I reboot and I still have a black desktop with a right click available, I can launch a terminal and create new folder, windows open with no decorations.

Please don't change compiz at will, or it will be very easy for you to have a black desktop. If you want to restore default configuration, please execute the following command: "compiz --replace".
The problem with Deepin is that ccsm (compiz settings manager) is already installed, but nowhere to be found. One has to type ccsm in terminal to launch the app.

Suggestion, please put an icon in the launcher for compiz settings manager.
Enter recovery mode. Open Terminal Mount installation partition on /mnt likesudo mount /dev/sda3 /mnt Change root to /mnt like sudo chroot /mnt Run command: sudo apt-get install deepin-desktop-environment
