Install and testing woes.
I thought I would give deepin a try as I had seen some very favourable reviews. However, it was a very frustrating experience.
Attempt 1) d/l .iso. dd to a USB thumbdrive.
result = Boots up, but then freezes, need to cold boot.
md5 sum checked etc.
Used opensuse imagewriter and unetbootin, same result.
Tried to use a VirtualBox. Booted (very slowly) to live environment. Tried then to install to vBox. First attempt froze/hung. Second attempt seemed OK until first reboot. This rebooted to 'live' session, I guess from from the virtual CD, Not from the new virtual HDD installed. I think deepin needs a lot of work before it becomes a usable desktop for mass use.
I have a nVidia GPU. Is there a tweak I can apply to the USB image?
