How do I get to the advanced settings?

Linux Deepin 12.12 ships with its own System Settings, this being the first release to include it. The new settings tool is designed to be easy to use and by default, it doesn't display advanced settings that regular users wouldn't understand.
How do I get to the advanced settings?

There is no User Manual for Deepin 12.12 that instructs how to use the advanced settings.

Is there a specific advanced setting you want to modify or is this more a general query?

I want to know if I can use advance settings on the panel (below bar). How do I select my own icons for the programs, also can I darken the date, which is white and hard to read. To combine programs into one icon is only available when on the desktop, how can I combine programs on the panel?

When are they going to update the online manual? Now is only shows instructions for the Gnome desktop.

Thank you for your comment.

As far as I can tell, Deepin uses Compiz. So you could try Compiz Config Settings Manager to adjust settings.
It should be available through apt-get (or synaptic)

Exactly what advanced settings do you wish to change?

I think qlue is correct about Compiz for advanced settings. While I didn't really explore it too much, I ran Deepin 12.12 live for about 20 minutes the other day. I usually find myself viewing live versions of Pear, Deepin and elementary mainly to see their respective UI tweaks of GNOME Shell. However, I've never ran any of the above mentioned distros bare metal, so I can't really help with the OP's question. I did notice Deepin included Compiz as a default application when I ran it live. Apparently someone had a similar question at Deepin's website forum and they also tried using GNOME tweak tool, but it failed to load, so that doesn't seem to be an option at the moment? Therefore my guess would be to use Compiz as qlue suggested since it's a default application in Deepin 12.12.

Best of luck!

I launched Compiz, no mention of the panel or icons. Compiz is not the solution.

Thanks for posting :)
