The name Dell Inspiron 1545 by itself does not specify which CPU you have got.
Dell offers the option to configure their models with a wide range of CPUs.
As mentioned, you can figure out the CPU model by running

cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep model\ name
Suppose it says
T4200.
You then search at the Intel ARK website and you get

which says:

Therefore, if you have the T4200 CPU, then you do not hardware-assisted virtualization.
