Hi,

i want to appear for a linux certification .

can you please tell me costs of the linux certification exam ?

i think RHCE is the basic certification exam ... right ? or is this advanced ?

Depends upon the exam you take. You haven't said which country you are in, so the following are all in UK pounds, but can be used for comparing the different schemes.

The prices are approx (in UK pounds), and exclude taxes.

RHCT: £250
RHCE: £500

LPI Exams: £80 each (two exams per level)

Linux+: £160

The lowest RedHat certification is RHCT, RHCE is higher, and there is a RHCA which is higher still.

There are also other certification paths including those for Novell or Ubuntu, and the vendor neutral certifications from LPI and Linux+.
