Which RHCSA/RHCE book do you recommend?
First, let me say that I am not a "newbie". I've been working with Linux for roughly 5 or so years. Im currently a "Level II Infrastructure Engineer", on the Linux side.
So I never took college, or any classes, or certifications, everything ive learned has always been hands on. I feel like I should maybe add an "Education" section to my resume, lol. As much as I think that certifications and degrees are, I should atleast have SOMETHING that shows I took the initiative to further my career, rather than just learning everything on my own when im bored. I feel fairly confident that I could pass the RHCE exam, but id like to brush up by reading a certification book, just to make sure I have all my bases covered. So... which of the following would you recommend?
And also, would you say this is worth reading? http://www.amazon.com/RHCSA-Certific...&keywords=rhce Just thought id get some opinions from people who might be familiar with both. And if you have a different recommendation, please share! :) |
As the RHCE test is performance based you have to have experience, and as you already have 5 years experience you won't need to buy a book, the resources are all available for free.
You need to meet the objectives here: http://www.redhat.com/training/cours.../examobjective Read the Installation guide (you can probably stick to Intel arch), then other guides if required: https://access.redhat.com/site/docum...erprise_Linux/ Test your readiness here: http://www.redhat.com/resourcelibrar...lls-assessment cheers |
