Should I pursue a RHCE?

How valuable is the certification and is it "respected" throughout the industry? I understand it one of the highest linux certifications one can get but does that matter these days?

Thanks so much

RHCE is respected certification in the industry. Agreed. But for me, it can never replace experience. If you want to take the cert, take it. But do not depend on it for your job.

I hope you know that RHCE is practical exam and not multiple choice like MCSE and all.
There is no paper pattern as such. As to the contents of the certification exam, you can visit red hat official site and get information on that.
