RHCA -- advanced certification

I am currently an RHCE holder. I want to take it to the next level. I feel that will really set me apart from the crowd. Is RHCA the most advanced linux certification on the market? I am a systems/network administrator, no programming. Anyone hold this cert? Worth it?

Greetings fellow RHCE-ian :-)!!!

Getting certified to stand out from the crowd does have it's benefits. As far as my knowledge goes and like you said, RHCA is definitely a level higher than RHCE. Whether it being the highest, I'm not very sure.

But I'd safely assume it to be the highest for now, i.e. if RH has not diversified it's certification stream into security related and administration, like some are doing these days.

Didn't you run a check on redhat.com? That'd be the first place to look for.

Yes, read through all of that. I understand what the certification provides and the areas of knowledge you must be proficient in to pass the exams. However, is it worth the large investment? Are companies seeking this certification?

In all the job requirements that I have seen till date on the Linux platform (of course :-)!), I have not seen any company asking for RHCA. It's probably because the certification is relatively new and will take some time for the companies to use that as a criterion to pick candidates.

My guess is, it can wait. In the meantime what we could do is to gain the relevant experience by the time it becomes a real deciding factor for gaining higher levels in our job profile.
