Just noticed corp769's reply, the "Performance-based Exams" section featured in the link tells you the official story.
Yes it does. I posted it because that's what the exam is based upon, and knowing the material is one thing, but understanding is where you need to be in order to ace the exam and such.

I fully agree. All the problems in the exam aren't all that hard to solve, the time in which you need to solve them makes it hard. Knowing your way around and using a GUI when possible are of the essence.
@edentonjr: If you think you are ready for the exam you can take a test-exam first (ask your local RedHat dealer for a location near you).

I never took any tests like that, but I do know the material. I was never a fan of stuff like that....
And to the OP: druuna is right, take the test-exam first before you nail out the certification.
