LPIC1 revision tip

Just passed LPIC1 and I've got a tip which might be of use to some.

With a good bit of general Unix knowledge, I used the O'Reilly LPI Linux Certification book for my revision. Having gone through the book, I took the sample exams for the 101 and 102 tests.

The mark I got on the sample tests in the book, the first time I took them, were within two or three percent of my marks in the real exams. In contrast the sample questions on the LPI site don't really bear any relation to the exams - the website questions are much easier.

Do the LPI exams lean toward deb/rpm/source more? How about SysV Init/BSD?

The 101 exam that I did, which I'm not sure is the latest version (since one of the questions referred to the 2.0.xx kernel) specifically said "with RPM" and believe that there an alternative "with deb" version which replaces the RPM questions with debian ones. However, I do remember reading somewhere that the new exam version covers both.

I don't remember about SysV vs BSD init.
