LPIC-1 study group
If anyone is interested, I'm searching for others to join a LPIC-1 study group. Right now I'm working on the 101 exam, but will be moving to 102 exam shortly. I'm using mostly the O'Reilly LPIC in a nutshell book plus Internet searching.
Thinking the best way of communication would be just e-mail and possible chatting, seems like the easiest method considering time zones. I'm in -8 GMT (California, United States). |
You may know but, the LPIC 101 has had some changes recently and are listed here so take that into account as most, if not all, prep books will not include these changes yet.
Why not see if you can host LPIC study groups here, seems like a good place. |
Also consider this book in your study material, "LPIC-1: Linux Professional Institute Certification Study Guide: (Exams 101 and 102)"
Good luck. |
I would greatly welcome a study group here. I'm not sure how this is normally done here on LQ, just keep a thread open with a Q and A style of postings?
So far I'm using a variety of study resources. http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/LPI_Linux_Certification http://www.lpimarketplace.com/LPIC_1...71-77157-3.htm http://shop.oreilly.com/product/9780596804886.do But I found that I need to back up the information listed in the books with Internet searching. Last night I was working on loading and unloading modules into CentOS and Debian. Found that the command insmod was not working correctly. Then searching found it's suggested to use modprobe instead since it appears that insmod was deprecated. |
