Linux+ Online Study Guides
Can anyone recommend any sites with good study guide questions for the Linux+ test?

well personally my favorite site for actual questions that are asked on alot of certs is
http://www.braindumpcentral.com/ this site has alot of common certs that people take if not the majority, and people submit questions that they remember from the specific cert .. here is a link of the list of certs available: http://www.braindumpcentral.com/selectbraindump.aspx and here : http://www.braindumpcentral.com/disp...idTestName=134 is the exact link for the linux+ exam ... there is 255 questions, that were known to be on the exam ... so its a pretty good guide to relate too when studying ... and as you will also see, you will have the option to purchase any test, and the only benefit of doing that, is to view the exibits for questions that require one ... other than that, you can get by fine with what is supplied on the site .. |
drozz...
thanks for the links to the brain-dump site...any idea how "dated" the tests are? Were these questions pulled from exams 1, 2, 3 years ago? Thanks again zepplin611 |
well as you will notice they are as recent as the exam ...
when new exams are issued, then new questions will be gathered .. so these questions will be fine for the present linux+ exam. you can also check out the book i have in the reviews section that i also recommend .. and another good one is in the reviews, and if i am not mistakening, i think WhiteHat submitted it ... |
I really have to recommend against using BrainDumps of any kind. For one, many exams have an NDA associated with them and posting exact questions violates that NDA and could cause you to lose your cert. Also, memorizing content will not help you pass an exam (and even if you do pass, you will not have the knowledge the cert claims you have). Having taken the RHCE, LPI and Sair exams I can say there is no substitute for actually comprehending the material in question. You and your employer will be much happier that way.

I totally agree. Next year I plan on teaching a course in Linux+ and Security+. Lunux is my strength and I have spent the last 13 learning. Could you recommend a book for the Linux+ or LPI http://www.lpimarketplace.com/ Thanks cwc |
I think Red Hat training programs have their own study material. You can get those if you enroll yourself in one of those certification courses.
