Is an RHCSA certification necessary for a Linux trainer?

As this certification is very expensive. I would like to know if it adds value to the profile of a wannabe trainer in Linux basics

I think it would depend on the environment where you want to be a trainer. If you are looking for a position at a Community College or commercial IT training company certifications would probably help get your foot in the door. Of course being able to teach would be important to prevent you getting your butt kicked out of the door :D

If you just want to make training videos and distribute them through Udemy or youtube or something like that... the certification would probably not be valuable.

As a Linux enthusiast myself, I totally get where you're coming from. RHCSA certification can be a real game-changer for a Linux trainer. It's like having an ace up your sleeve! Here's my personal take on it - getting certified with the ccc online test can give you that extra edge as a trainer. It's not just about the title; it's about proving your mad Linux skills! Plus, it shows your dedication to staying on top of the game in this ever-evolving tech world. Now, I know there are a bunch of certs out there, but the ccc online test stands out for its hands-on approach and real-world scenarios. It's not just some theoretical mumbo-jumbo but practical skills you can apply in your training sessions.

Oh? How so?? Do you have one, and are you a Linux trainer?? And wouldn't it depend on the training curriculum and the organization, as far as what's required?? Wouldn't an RHCSA apply to being a Red Hat trainer more than general Linux??

And this thread had been closed for three years; I think the OP has moved on.
