My take is that the fast track course is a waste of time. if you pass the exam with having only done that course, then you could have passed it without ding it at all, as it's too fast a track to really *learn* much of use. That said, if your employer is paying, go for it.
Yes...sadly my employer doesn't pay for _any_ training
That coupled with the fact that the fast track is $3,000+
I don't think that it's "worth" it (if you're paying for it yourself...like acid put it...if your employer is paying for it...take it!).
So even if I have to take it twice (I don't think I will...but you never know ) That is _still_ cheaper than taking the "fast track"
I did both practice tests, the installation and configuration part, at the end of Jang's book (both RHCT/RHCE portions). It took me about 3 hours each. I think I did ok....I rebooted a couple of times and everything seemed to work (then again...I'm not sure what Red Hat is looking for). So all in all I think that I did pretty good...nothing on there really "scared" me...hopefully doing these labs will help me...
For the troubleshooting part I am using trouble-maker.
I did both practice tests, the installation and configuration part, at the end of Jang's book (both RHCT/RHCE portions).

I am also giving RHCE this month, date is yet to be finalized, it would be 30th or 31st. I think I have prepared well.
Wish me luck.
But still, to be more confident, I was just wondering are there, any practice papers available, I mean any exam simulator or something.

I would love to take the RHCE test but it scares me to death (not to mention my company wont pay for me to take it)... you are a better man than i am.

Yes...I am VERY nervous...but you never know how you will do until you do it. :-)
However it would be a shame that I spent $800 dollars and don't get anything...hopefully I'll get the RHCT...but don't get me wrong....I'm aiming for the RHCE...
