Are there any respected Linux certs other than RH's

I've run Linux for about 10yrs but I'd like to become certified and start the process of working on it for a living. I've got no issues with RH but can't just drop $3,000+ at the moment. Are there any other good certa you can get that actually help you get a job? I know Ubuntu has a server cert but I assume that doesn't carry much weight anywhere.

The Linux Professional Institute is well respected. Novell also offer their own certification course.
