Usb mount & Resolution prob with Freespire

My pc config:

PIII 800mhz
8MB SIS VGA Card
384 SD Ram
15" monitor

1)The resolution 800x600 is not set correctly set by the distro at installation? The SIS card was ditected..

2)My Kingston Data traveller 512MB usb pen drive was ditected but it does not mount automatically.
I tried "mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/pen" but it does not work!!
I tried to unmount but it does not work?

Check your /etc/X11/xorg.conf or the matching one for Freespire (it debian clone isn't it?) for the monitor section. Also check the Section Screen.
Regarding the usb stick. Did you create such a dir /mnt/pen ?
what shows demsg or tail /var/log/messages after you plugged the pen into your pc?
