Live CD from Linux User Developer not booting
I set my BIOS to boot from CD, but it just will not boot.
I boot other "Live" distros without any problem.
I contacted the magazine, bu I have not received any response.
Any ideas on this? I don't really care if I can't, I just wanted to see it perform.
Thanks,

I'm not sure about the magazine's CD or its problems (I've seen the attached disk at the stores), but you can download a 'torrent of 5.0 here:

Heh, well, I'm kinda fond of Windows, but I like Linux too I'm glad I could help, though I tried the torrent myself when I was looking for distros a few weeks ago, and it worked well for me...

I'm afraid I'm not very fond of Linspire very much. I do like the inline spell checking, but I found Simply MEPIS to be a bit more
user friendly and works well off the live CD.
Linux is about making choices for now. I'm just glad I have a great replacement for Win 2000.
Solaris rules, but the average home user will need better hardware support; i.e., PnP. Now, I will run Solaris, a flavor of Linux, and 2000
on a very small partition for 2 apps that weren't ported to UNIX or Mac.

I've got a few options myself For awhile, I had a triple boot Linux box with Mandriva (ugh ugh ugh), SuSE and ProMepis. Then I triple-booted Ubuntu, ProMepis and SuSE. Now I'm down to a dual-boot Ubuntu/SuSE box, have a new used Mac I just bought, and my faithful, beautiful XP box I think variety is the spice of life
