Linspire Wont Install

I have downloaded Linspire 5 . It runs well when run from cd but when i tried to install it after some processes a blank screen appears where the mouse pointer is visible and moveable but it doesnt go further? What is the problem with it?

I would check the download you got. Maybe it was bad or something or the media is bad. Maybe try downloading it again, or burning to a different brand of CD/DVD.

What was the last process that was completed? Did you tell it to takeover the whole hard drive or just a partition on the drive? Will need more info to try to troubleshoot an installation.

Sounds like you've got a BETA version of Linspire or a Live CD version but they shouldn't offer an install option.

I can be wrong but I thought the General Release (the release made to the public) doesn't include a LIVE CD and Installer just an Installer.
can you post the version number (should be someting like 5.0.59)
