Look, eagles-lair, I don't feel disrespected. jaketate is right, every time you apt-get a package you get closer to being debian, and if you apt-get dist-upgrade, then you have a debian computer that says linspire on it. Now Lphoto rules, lsongs is awesome, and the network config tools are nice, but Lindows is basically debian. I use it because it's kind of simple, and it's the one that beat the snot out of Macro$oft. Let's be nice to eachother, we're all in Linux together. Be nasty to Macro$oft, not linux.

After more than 450 posts, I would hope that we have resolved the issue of "Linspire (LindowsOS) isn't Linux". (Hint: it is)

This thread has always, since day one, been in danger of being closed - check some of the posts I made in the earlier part of it. I kept it open because i am perverse I'm closing it, the posts which answer the original post tend to burst into flames. The other posts, well, they are of varying quality.

Thank you all for posting in this thread and I hope to see you soon in "why windows is better than linux". Thank you for playing
