Linspire five-Oh on VMware WS5

Has anyone manged to install Linspire on VMWare 5 Workstation? I have VM running on XP SP2, It's running a couple of Knoppix versions with no trouble, but I can't seem to install Linspire on it. It started out by telling me that it can't find a stable hard drive to install on. I got around that by changing the drive type to IDE, and pre-partitioning the entier dirve size in advance (4 gigs.) After I did that, Linspire installation gets about half way down, and then tells me there are problems with my media. Anyone else have any thoughts?

Thanks

Sorry, thought I should clearify. It says it could not write the image to the disk. I would almost say it sounds like its running out of space, but I doubt that's the case unless it's getting one hell of a compression ratio. (650 MB CD => 4 Gig drive)

I had a same bad luck as you did, but then I let it have 8 GB disk and it installed ok , even with advanced or normal disk setup (I used normal just to see if it start copying and then aborted it to reboot to advanced to get Reiser4 - my primary reason for evaluating linspire) , it consumed 2.6 GB (on Reiser4) after installation , but it seems that installer won't let you go through with the smaller drive (added note: it file-based swap of max size 1 GB it probably counts this into reserved space) , lame thing is that it doesn't says anything like "your drive is too small" , the good thing is that you can shrink your vmware partition after instalation via vmware tools and that it actually consumes just used spaces so you can have large vmware disk even if you don't have 8 GB of free space.
