Linspire Five-0 for free HOWTO
I just downloaded Linspire Five-0 without paying a cent. Also the large disc of "CNR Extras" which is a full disc of the larger programs from CNR (I haven't looked to see what's ACTUALLY on there yet. If any mods think it is questionable, I am sorry, and PLEASE feel free to remove the entry.
Here's how I did it, no coupon codes or anything:
Go to www.linspire.com go to the "Publishers" area.. and register. Registration is free and easy. This enables you to help with Linspire development in publishing new software for being added to CNR, but it's not a pre-requisit to download Five-0.
Anyways, after registration, you should be logged in. If not, log in now. Go to the products page for MyLinspire, and you have the ability to download Five-0, 4.5, Spanish editions, Live Editions, and the CNR Extras.
Easy as pie, and no coupon codes to mess with. Let me know if you have any problems.

Well, I had a look at the site, didn't go as far as logging in - if there are no real checks made on people logging in, I don't think there's a problem with it.
I seem to recall that a similar thread was started around Linspire 4.0 or 4.5.

cool.. thanks. I didn't think it would be a problem because it is indeed legit, and gives you the ability to post help port free software to the CNR databases (if I understood the description correctly?).

Actual quote: "Linux was made by foreign terrorists to steal money from true AMERICAN companies like Microsoft who invented computing as we know it, and are being punished for their success..."

I know it's off topic, but do you by any chance have the origin of that quote on a url somewhere? It's so good, the page should be saved for posterity "big chuckle"

I frequently am asked as to the origin of the quote.. However, even I do not know who it was that said it originally.. I found it through some google searchings once looking for something along the lines of "linux quotes" or "windows jokes" or something.. but it still failed to give the name of who said.. I'd like to know as well..
