You don't say what version of Linspire or Konqueror you have ... but it's possible it's an obsolete version that might not even support Javascript.

Current versions of Konqueror fully support JavaScript (aka ECMAScript):

http://www.konqueror.org/features/browser.php

Here's an article about what happened to the original Lindows/Linspire:

http://www.linux.com/archive/feature/144307

And here's the current status of "Freespire" (by the sounds of it, FreeSpire 2.0.8 is actually newer than your version):

http://wiki.freespire.org/index.php/Freespire_2

You'll notice the last update was in 2007. FreeSpire 2.0.8 was based on Debian Etch (Debian 4.0). Debian has moved on - Linspire/Freespire hasn't:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Etch_%28Debian%29

So the short answer is: if Konqueror doesn't already work (OOTB: "right out of the box"), then it's unlikely you're going to get it to work. At least not with Linspire.

I'd strongly encourage you to download and burn a couple of Live CDs (Simply Mepis, Debian, Fedora, OpenSuSE and Ubuntu come immediately to mind), pick one you like, and consider upgrading your PC.

IMHO .. PSM

* Select Configure Konqueror from the Settings menu.
* Make sure "Enable JavaScript globally" is checked under the Java & Javascript tab.

raju.mopidevi -

That option is *not* available on all versions of Konqueror ... and when present, is usually enabled by default anyway.
