i pulled an old 13G hdd out of my box of spare drives and guess what was on it?


Lindows 3.0

boy that was a few years ago.....

unfortunately it would keep locking up during boot, so i has to wipe it, but i think i have the original install CD here somewhere...

Sounds like you might've had another drive (or something) plugged into a USB port that was confusing it.

A ctrl+c would usually shake it past the offending line of code.

If ya need a more "up to date" copy of Linspire I have some OEM packages of the 5-0.
Still using it on an email archiving machine that just doesn't wanna die.

You might want to check out PhoenixOS, it's a very "Linspire-esque" OS, currently under development with a couple alpha releases at: http://raccomputers.com/phoenixos.html
