Hotplug usbnet

Using Linspire4.5
The Linux USB website "http://www.linux-usb.org/" says if I have "usbnet.o" driver i should be able to talk to my Zaurus PDA. Well, I do and I can't.

I searched my HD for "usb*' and got 87 results and 30 results for hotplug.

The Sharp products id is "04dd" and the Zaurus id is "9032" do I need to edit a file perhaps?

Having the PDA connected during bootup or connecting after bootup makes no difference.

Point me in the direction for me to solve this problem, thanks.
