Gnome on Linspire - can it be done?

I am running Linspire 5.059 on an intel box for my kids, but am not really very happy with the KDE desktop and personally prefer Gnome.

I know that the distro is based on Debian, so is there a way to download and install Gnome, and switch between the desktops?

Linspire only officially support KDE as the interface but I would love to switch across. I find KDE graphics a little cartoonish and large for my liking these days, and like the clean interface of Gnome

Any help would be appreciated.

Gary

Are you sure Linspire doesn't support Gnome?

Its in the CNR warehouse if you prefer it but most people don't so that is why it shipps with KDE as a defualt. If you go to the forums and ask I'm sure they will tell you when it was last updated and if it is still supported. I'm sure it is but to be honest I don't use it.

Thanks I did not state it was not supported, I just know it is not supplied as standard. Just was curious to see if KDE can be replaced.
